Moroccan Tangine Style Chicken

A Tangine is an expensive piece of kitchen equipment and makes some of the best food you can ever imagine so when all else fails improvise. Use the slow cooker

4 pounds of boneless skinless chicken breast cubed
1 large onion sliced thin
1 small lemon cut into quarters
1/2 cup green olives pitted
1 cup prunes chopped
1/2 cup of fresh cilantro diced
2 cloves garlic minced
1 Can diced tomatoes
1 bullion cube (chicken)
2 cups water or 1 can chicken brother, no billion cube or water
2 teaspoons salt
3 teaspoons cumin
2 teaspoons ground turmeric
2 teaspoons fresh grated ginger or 1 teaspoon ground ginger powder
2 2 inch cinnamon sticks

Put everything in your slow cooker, set to low for around 4-5 hours or until chicken is cooked through. Serve over rice or couscous if you want. I think we are going to have it with some flat bread
